Every day, robots are used to complete dirty, dangerous costly and dull (or humiliating) tasks. These robots are able to complement human workers, or even replace them completely.

However, these systems gather more than just labor data. They also capture audiovisual data. Most privacy policies don't mention this, but some -- like LG's camera-enabled Hombot Turbo+.

Roomba I3

The i3+ is a solidly constructed disc (my daughter referred to it as Rainbow Kitty). It comes with a 19-inch Clean Base tower to empty its huge dirt bag automatically. iRobot recommends cleaning its brushes and sensors weekly, or twice if you own pets.

Roomba 970

The Roomba 970 is iRobot's most popular robot. It's a high-performance vac that delivers excellent cleaning results on low and high-pile carpets and floor surfaces that are not bare. It can also overcome obstacles and resume cleaning after it's recharged. It also allows remote control and scheduling. Its mapping functions are limited, however. It isn't possible to create virtual no-go zones or modify the map and it doesn't allow specific cleaning for rooms.

It's also a superior vacuum than the RoboVac 11S, which has a larger dirt compartment and enhanced performance on all surfaces. It has a longer battery life and is charged faster. It's a bit more expensive, but it's got better build quality and fewer cost-per-use charges. It also has a more sophisticated navigation system that uses iAdapt 3.0. It can provide an logical way to complete its cleaning tasks.

Roomba 890

This robot is perfect for floors with carpet. It has a larger dust bin that requires less emptying, and is better equipped to deal with pet fur, and lint better than earlier models. It also utilizes Dirt Detect technology to clean concentrated areas more thoroughly.
